Science Fiction (Bookshelf) - Gutenberg

I was turned on to SciFi around age 13 by a buddy at school who worked part time at the local public library. It was the very first time that I had encountered the genre and I was hooked. Since then, SciFi has always been my first choice of literature, but I have grown to love other authors too. [Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Stephen King]

One of my favorite series out there is the Sten series by my best friend Allan Cole and his partner and brother-in-law Chris Bunch.

But enough about me.

I have been aware of the Project Gutenberg effort for quite some time [~10-yrs]. Up to this point, I haven't paid much attention to it...primarily because there hasn't been an easy way to deal with print in a non-book form factor. However, with the advent of various file formats that allow easy portability via a handheld or a notebook, it has become much easier to deal with and read the available library of expired copyrighted works.

Project Gutenberg's library now includes many of the books that I read and loved more than 30-years ago available for a quick read on my notebook or iPod. If you love Science Fiction, you owe it to yourself to check out the bookshelf.
